LOST

I was left in the middle of an ocean,
So high and dry.
There was water all around,
Yet no tears to cry.

Hope is dying slowly,
And so was my energy to fight.
Conscience kept on telling me,
It is not right.

Minutes and hours passed,
So did days and nights.
Conscience kept on telling me,
Don’t lose the hope to fight.

Then came she, pulling me over,
into her boat and into her heart.
Giving life to all my hopes,
Promising this can be a fresh start.

Facing the rough currents,
We rowed together in the vast ocean.
In search of a land,
Keeping our hopes alive and in motion.

Storms and whirlpools caught us strong,
To tear us apart really bad.
Holding each other’s hands, we said,
“We are never gonna give up”. good or bad.

There she finds a majestic ship,
Clearing through the storm strong and sound.
Making her forget the vow,
By which we were bound.

I resisted, she didn’t,
“We could make it “, I said.
Didn’t please her I guess,
“Trust me, I will be back”, she said.

Leaving me alone in the storm,
She went away.
Making a promise that,
Was greater than a slay.

After all these days of travel,
It made me realise.
Life was pretty much the same,
As the sea in disguise.

I was left in the middle of the ocean
So high and dry
There was water all around
But no tears to cry
